Promoting future-oriented fashion and young talents at MAISON SHIFT
9.–11. October 2025

The Residency Program at MAISON SHIFT supports young talents, initiates discourse, and sparks impulses for new directions in the textile industry. From October 9 to 11, 2025, MAISON SHIFT will present an exhibition that makes innovative approaches to sustainable fashion in Switzerland visible.
At the center are designers Larissa Riesen and Nari Zürrer, who have been working at MAISON SHIFT from April to October 2025. Their work revolves around circularity, materiality, community, and body perception.
Larissa Riesen develops textile objects from recycled materials that invite visitors to engage with their own bodies: by putting on novel coverings, identity and bodily perception become tangible. For the exhibition, she will create a walk-in spatial installation.
The project NEUNOI – a reimagined sneaker for children up to 10 years old – was developed by Narada Zürrer. The repairable, consciously designed sneaker comes with its own system and is meant to bring joy. Instead of a throwaway mentality, it emphasizes health, return, and reuse. The project ties back to lost values and traditions of shoe repair and translates them into sneakers and the fashion of the future. In the exhibition, Narada will present his process from the past months with prototypes and worn-out test shoes.
The exhibition demonstrates how sustainable innovation and experimental design open new perspectives for the fashion of tomorrow. Visitors are invited to discover textile futures and actively take part in shaping them.
