For its third edition, MAISON SHIFT returns to the heart of the Marais with its »Fashion Futures» designer exhibit in late September 2026. Eight Swiss brands from the fashion / textile / jewelry and accessories sectors are selling, exhibiting and celebrating their work in conversation with a local audience of design professionals and fashion enthusiasts. The exhibition is designed to promote awareness of the diversity and quality of Swiss design while leaving room for exchange around the shared commitment to holistic creation, production and business practices.

The week’s program includes a dynamic series of events such as a Franco-Suisse fashion symposium hosted by the like-minded Parisian Mkrs. platform and sponsored by Swiss multibrand store PKZ, an opening soirée with music and drinks, and a graduate fashion show by Basel’s FHNW.

As an extension of the Centre culturel suisse’s court yard buvette, a green recreational space invites the public to linger, read, reflect and connect for the duration of the event.

The Doing Fashion program at HGK Basel FHNW unfolds as a contemporary, critical exploration and research practice, operating at the interface between analogue and digital design methods. It focuses on the body, its movement and its situatedness in the world. The Basel approach sees Fashion as more than the convergence of design and art: its power lies in the performativity of its design, its creation and shaping, as well as in its presentation.

SELECTED BRANDS

The eight participating studios convinced an international jury on the basis of their clear aesthetic identity, the importance they placed on implementing sustainable practices, their long-term business model as well as the quality of their creations.

ANASTASIA BULL

ANASTASIA BULL is a Basel-based fashion designer crafting sculptural silhouettes, vivid textiles, and experimental pleating. Alongside wearable pieces, her work invites audiences to step into a utopian fantasy grounded in fluidity, self-love, and intersectional feminism.

CASA VAYU

CASA VAYU is a Zurich- based fashion studio developing modular womenswear and unisex garments in natural fibres. Combining Swiss design precision, Italian craftsmanship, and Japanese textiles, the brand creates seasonless silhouettes defined by architectural clarity, durability, and understated elegance.

ILHEMENT

ILHEMENT began with a pleated boxer short and evolved into elevated loungewear pieces with a refined, architectural cut. Designed in Switzerland, our silhouettes move from the lobby to the street to the next event. Founded by an ex-STF alumni, the brand merges Swiss design with culture and community.

NIMA KAUFMANN

NIMA KAUFMANN is a Swiss-Iranian jewellery brand, handcrafted in Switzerland, creating solid sterling silver pieces that explore form through material resistance, transformation, and repetition. The work approaches jewellery as small sculptures for the body, using sand-casting to turn accidents into embedded narratives.

RAPPAZ

RAPPAZ is a high-end, eco-conscious women’s ready-to-wear brand founded in 2024 in Paris by Adeline Rappaz. Inspired by her artistic family and punk heritage, the brand creates bold, crafted pieces that offer a responsible, creative alternative in an industry often criticized for its environmental impact.

SHERYLIN

SHERYLIN is a contemporary jewellery and object label founded by designer Sherylin Birth in Switzerland. The collections are handcrafted in brass using industrial machines inherited from her family business, founded in 1940. A trained fashion designer, and using know-how inherited from her family, she creates sculptural pieces that embrace imperfection.

SIEGENTHALER

SIEGENTHALER is a Swiss design studio based in Paris exploring the relationship between materials, construction codes, and contemporary tailoring. Duc Siegenthaler’s fashion becomes a medium to express the complexity of identity without fixing it in place — celebrating transformation and the multiplicity of possibilities.
